Self Climbing Mechanical Screens are suitable for both COARSE and FINE screenings. They ensure efficient and reliable cleaning even in the deepest channels without any limitations for the discharge height.
ADVANTAGES
- There are no moving drive parts in the waste water
- There are no moving ropes or chains for driving the rake.
- Robust design, less maintenance
- There is no discharge height limitation. Debris can be easily transported to any height required.
- Width of the channel can be arranged as 0.50 m to 3.00 m
- Silent operation
- Rotational movement of the drive mechanism is always one directional featuring longer gear life.
- Overload protection is maintained via Hydraulic torque limiter.
- Fully automated operation by level transmitter or timer.
OPERATION
When the level difference of up stream and down stream reaches to a certain predetermined level (or timer operation), the drive carriage begins its descending cycle with the opened rake arm.
When it comes to the deepest point of the channel, the rake closes and fits in to the bar openings, grab the screenings and ascending cycle begins. The rake carries the debris where they are discharged and a wiper cleans the debris from the rake to the discharge collection unit. Drive carriage stops at its rest position when the cycle ends.
OVERLOAD PROTECTION
ARMS screen drive unit has a hydraulic overload protection. On the other hand the ARMS screen’s rake assembly is designed to pass over large objects without jamming or damaging the unit. If it lifts something beyond its capacity or any failure of the drive unit, the relay will trip and both sound and light warning system will be activated.
